Getting Started with Microsoft® Excel® 2007 Lesson 1: Starting Excel and Reviewing Excel Window Elements

In Lesson 1, you learn how the Excel 2007 software (Excel) is used to organize, analyze, and store data in an electronic file. You begin by starting Excel and reviewing the elements of the Excel window.

Next, you open an existing workbook and learn about worksheets including how to use the mouse and keyboard to navigate in a worksheet and how to select worksheet cells, rows, and columns.

You learn how to locate the Excel interface options you can modify and how to get help in Excel. Finally, you learn how to close a workbook, create a new workbook, and exit the Excel software.
